This 5x44 Casa Magna oscuro is the last of the series Casa Magna oscuros that were released on the Dutch market recently and the last of the series reviews. The price tag of this cigar is 3 euro. This cigar is made in Honduras, like all other Casa Magna oscuro cigars but it is a Nicaraguan puro.

The wrapper is dark and shiny, full of oil and one big vein. The silver colored band sticks out on the dark wrapper. The construction feels good and the cigar has a strong and peppery barnyard smell. the predraw is fine, I taste dry tobacco with pepper and some chocolate

I taste a peppery soil flavor. After a quarter of an inch I also taste something metallic on the background. The flavors are pleasant and spicy and appear to be stronger than the robusto from the same series. After three quarters of an inch I also taste some herbs and after a third I taste green peppers as main flavor with wood and a herbal aftertaste.

Halfway I taste a little bit of chocolate with the flavors I mentioned before and the metallic flavor is back, only on the background though. The wood flavor slowly becomes stronger, it even becomes the main flavor for a while. After two thirds the pepper fights back and becomes dominant again.

This cigar lasted me an hour. The draw is great, just like the burn. The dark and coarse ash is firm. I go a lot of smoke. I had to correct the burn a few times though. This cigar is full flavored and medium to full bodied.

Would I buy this cigar again? Yes, I like this #4 the most when it comes to the Casa Magna oscuro series
