In truth, he may be my least-favorite Bond, but that is mainly due to Cubby Broccoli and his increasingly silly and gimmicky scripts. But he was a good actor who did what he could with this, and seems to have been a decent man as well. May he rest in peace.

Agreed, because the tongue-in-cheek attitude worked better with that character than with Bond. And disagreed with Tom on Timothy Dalton. To me he got criticized unduly for that which he should have been praised. His two films tried to do what the Daniel Craig films have managed . . . i.e., returned the movies to a more realistic tone. Me, I actually like his work as Bond.
