Hey All,
First post (of many) here. I've enjoyed everything I've been reading so far.
I do have a question though hopefully someone can answer. I was in a small shop in PA the other weekend grabbing a few sticks and inquired whether they had any Onyx. The guy, who seemed knowledgeable said they don't make them anymore due to they popularity and abundance of competing maduros.
This doesn't seem right as many online places still have reasonably priced stock. I just grabbed a 5 pack from CI in a panic thinking it would be my last chance.
A bit of research show they are made by Tobacalera de Garcia, the same factory that does H. Upmann, RyJ, and Montecristo.
Was this guy spouting rumor or did they really stop making this tasty line?

I have no idea on production. It may be they have put them on hiatus until current stocks are sold down.

Welcome to the Asylum. Please take a moment and stop by the New Inmate forum and introduce yourself. You'll find a wealth of information in the Stickies at the top of each sub forum.

Welcome, light one up...
I think you might be able to find them at JR...

the Onyx was one of the first sticks I smoked. I think I need to revisit it and see how it is. Welcome to one of the best forums out there!

Thanks for the replies, and glad to be here.
Finding them online hasn't been any problem, I guess my concern is will I know if they are discontinued so I can stock up.
Guess I'll have to just keep buying a bunch of 'em

Onyx Reserve mini belicoso. One of my first cigars, too. Loved it. I still see them all over the place here in Florida.

Looks like the guy at the shop up in PA was misinformed. A bit more digging led me to here:

I don't see anything saying they aren't in production anymore. Quite a relief. While not my favorite cigar, it's still very tasty.
Happy puffing everyone.

Yes they are still around and are affordable and easy to obtain. I used to enjoy them but now I honestly cant stand them. I have probably 10 or so toro's taking up space in the humi right now so if you would like we might be able to arrange something. PM me if interested.

Used to love the mini-belis. Like a few other posters, it was one of my first (and for me almost my last) cigars. First one I had turned me green and knocked me on my butt.

Same here, I remember buying a few like, 10 years ago. Considering how many great cigars are available now however, I wonder if it is even worth it to seek these out. Just pick a new favorite. There are literally hundreds.

I used to smoke them and Aristoff, Aristoff is gone (new ones aren't the same) but I'm pretty sure JR has Onyx.

I haven't had an Onyx in a long time. My B&M still has them, huge markup on price as always tho.

Thats why I don't bother with the B&M, almost 50% more on single sticks. I go to the Reservation.
