I recently won a West Bend Poppery II off Flea-Bay and it arrived this afternoon:

This is the 1200W model. The original Poppery is the 1500Watter. Not really too concerned, but anxiously awaiting my 4 lb sampler to arrive from Sweet Maria's. Yeah baby...:-)
Looking forward to a rewarding coffee bean roasting experience! Have a good one folks...

You will enjoy it. Quick, easy, and the learning curve can be overcome by even a chimp like me. Remember that those poppers pop
very hot and very fast, so the transitions can be pretty quick. Keep an eye on your roast as all times, and try to cool the beans quickly, post-roast.
Rock on, sir.

Yeah, been reading information and viewing a number of video' on hot air popping over the previous months and decided it was time to jump-in. That does seem to be key in cooling the beans asap as to immediately stop the roasting of the coffee bean, and to keep it hopefully within the parameters of your focused roast.
I know I can juggle two balls. I'll see if I can add a third one:-)

Hey Mark Happy Birthday Fella!!!:-):-)
Do ya know the tip about using a mister? Give your hot hot beans 5-6 good pumps from a plant mister...even if you end up soaking the beans there will be enough heat to evap off and causes the rapid cooling. Done it! Works Great!
