Private Stock is a Dominican brand and they sell both longfillers and mediumfillers. The particular cigar I smoked was a longfiller, type Robusto with a 50 ring and a 130mm length. The wrapper is nice and silky and the cigar has the nice smell of dried hay.
When I light the cigar I can taste distinct leather with a bit of wood. The leather is consistent throughout the whole cigar, but the wood disappears soon. There is not a lot going in this cigar, its just leather, leather and leather and right before the turning point a hint of cacao. The turning point comes pretty early.
The draw wasn’t easy from the start but gets heavier and heavier to the point where I have to stick a toothpick through the cigar just to get the draw going again. The burn is ok though, no problems there. The ash is firm, but the smoke is medium, which might have something to do with the difficult draw.
Would I buy this cigar again? No, this cigar isn’t good enough for me.
