General Discussion>Looking for vintage magazine ad for thorazine/
kzm007 09:39 AM 12-26-2009
I want this one here http://gossip.elliottback.com/thoraz...ile-agitation/

in an original or reproduced print; I basically want it in nice quality so I can frame it.

Thorazine is chemically known as chlorpromazine, if that helps.

Just curious...oh, and how do I make a word clickable to the URL directly?

Thanks.

Use the URL tag this way:

{url=<urlhere>}word{/url}

but change the '{' and '}' to the appropriate square bracket and '<urlhere>' to the full url you want.

For example, go to the lottery forum here

Ebay sells a lot of original old advertising. I would strongly suggest an original if you are to print it. I'd imagine an ad like this would cost under $10 in excellent condition.

Didn't see it on there, but I'll keep looking definitely. And thanks for the URL help. Wanna keep this thread open though, in case anyone does know of a source. I don't even know if it would be a magazine-specific ad.

Had to chuckle at the one on another page http://www.bonkersinstitute.org/medshow/thorazsenile.html> in a fuller context.

And this site proclaims that Mornidine will help the morning sickness: http://www.ubersite.com/m/95738> :-) I need to add that some of those ads are not safe for work, and aren't PC...I hate PC, just sayin'. We're all adults.

Womens' lib aside, because the extremists scare me...Betty Friedan's "Feminine Mystique", ehem :-) - I'm glad they've got rights, but the '50s and '60s really do seem to be the golden years of our country; between WWII and the bloodshed and misery we saw in 'Nam.

20 year old's nostalgia trip over. I was born a generation or two too late, I'm afraid.

Please, keep your eyes, peeled, and thanks for letting me ramble.
