Put your finger over the hole and smoke away. Even the insects enjoy a cigar on ocassion.

I had a Twist yesterday with some tracking near the foot, too. It smoked fine and the rest in the humi were OK. Must of been there pre-freeze.
Check you stash and freeze, if necessary.

or a little duct tape works wonders
:-):-)
freeze all your sticks that came in contact with the infected stick according to SilverFox's post (do a search)
My first beetle hole was a wake up call to freeze anything that goes into my humidors

That stick was sequestered in an old LFD box and the rest of the sticks looked ok. Hopefully it was a one off. There was a bit of "dust" on the wrapper when I removed it from the cellophane.
This is my first experience with this. Is it smokeable?

Everybody should be freezing anything from Taboo
:-)
And you probably want to freeze all the cigars that were with it just in case. Smoke it. Why not?

I've taken the time between periods of the hockey game to move the potentially infected sticks into the refrigerator. Hopefully this is the extent of my experience with beetles.

Sorry about that my friend. Call me on Monday and I'll send ya a couple replacement sticks. I will pm you my cell phone.
This must have been from the shipment before last. We did have a few HSG and SFO bundles with DEAD beetles. We freeze before shipping.
All the inventory from that shipment has been removed and/or sold, but unfortunately a few bundles got out before we noticed.
The CURRENT INVENTORY has been closely inspected and we have found no evidence of any beetles. THE FACTORY IS TAKING MORE PRECAUTIONS THAN EVER BEFORE AND EVERTHING LOOKS FINE NOW.
As the Gentleman above mentioned, you can freeze and smoke. I smoked a cigar one time with a live beetle one time (not Taboo brand) and the little sucker ran out of the hole pretty fast. Anyway, some people toss the cigar and some smoke, either way I'll send ya some replacements.
Sorry for the trouble, but this is very unlikely to happen again anytime soon.

Thanks Rob. I've purchased and smoked probably 100 of your Taboo sticks and I've never had a problem before this.

Yes that was the first shipment we found a problem and have not found a single beetle after very close inspections on our current inventory from the last shipment. It looks like it was limited to a few bundles. I threw out the rest of that entire shipment and cleaned the humi as a precaution once we realized the problem. I should have frozen some of them and smoked em', but I got pissed and threw them all in the dumpster.
lol
I ripped the factory about it, so I think problem solved. In the last 10 years I have seen beetles in most every brand we have sold atleast once, but few and far between. It happens? Usually we notice when the product comes in if they are bundles, but missed a few. Now we have several people, not just one, check every shipment.
Talk to ya soon
Have a safe weekend
Rob

I experienced my first beatles two weeks ago. The carriers/victims appear to be from the Taboo sampler I bought a while back. It appears to only have been two cigars.
The worst part about it was the wife saw how many cigars I really do have as I put them in the fridge and freezer.

From what I hear this might help the flavor of those cigars.

I also had my first encounter with the "beetle". It did not come from Taboo but our beloved bid site. With the shipping and warm conditions I guess it was bound to happen. I now freeze everything that comes in and think others might want to consider doing the same.
