Not to much info out there on this stick so I had to get a 5 pack and give them a try.
This is the second offering from Ramon Bueso, the Genesis is very good and found the Muy Bueso (6.5" x 60) the very best of all Ramon Bueso Odyssey/Genesis line.
It's fascinating how size and filler construction can make or break the success of the same line of cigars.
Prelight: sweet hay and pepper
1st 1/3
Starts off with a blast of red pepper that mellows quickly and transitions into a rich roasted nut flavor.
Now some cream that increases with some wood notes and rich tobacco flavors.
The draw is slightly resistive but perfect to slow down the ability to catch the flavors better.
2nd 1/3
Getting now espresso along with the roasted nuts, earth, some nutmeg, and toasty spice on the finish.
For some this will be too mellow of a cigar with the Connecticut wrapper but still a nice change up for the maduro lover.
Last 1/3
The nuttiness deepens with no hint of bitterness I got with the first one I smoked too early off the truck last week.
Still getting that espresso note that is very pleasant along with the earthy notes and spice.
The burn line behaved all the way down and stayed cool.
For a lover of maduro's and the offering of the Genesis being so good this will be the last five I may get of the Odyssey but still a very nice smoke and well worth a try to the connoisseur of the Connecticut wrapper.
