I know this may sound ridiculous, but I have no idea what they did to me.
I know I had a fusion, and that they took bone grafts from my pelvis and screwed them on somewhere, but I don't know where or how many. Kerri told me they said they put rods in, too, but I heard just the opposite when the surgeon's PA was talking to us when I was being released from the hospital.
I have an appointment on Thursday and I'm gonna find out what they did and ask them to get an xray so I can see it.
I'm excited to see what the hell happened to me. :-)
Main thing is that ALL my back symptoms are 100% gone. I never even remotely imagined that'd happen.

Great news about the back pain :-) my firs two days after the surgery were bad with pain then it went away and I too have been feeling great this was from March for me. I didn't have a fusion but its good to hear that with a competent surgeon how quickly you recover. but no matter what you had done the bottom line is you can resume a relatively regular lifestyle now :-)

That is just TFF. When I saw the scar I had to look twice and ask myself why he would allow them to raise his a-hole that high and then stitch it shut?:-)

I'm in DuBois. Johnstown is about an hour and a half away.
I've worked down that way quite a bit and a lot of guys I work with are from down there, but I can't say that I've ever met a Staib. I'll look forward to it, though. :-)

My first thought was that Scott must have been really constipated and had a blow out.:-) :-)
Glad the recovery is going well. Any chance the news clip is on the net someplace?

Scott, sorry if I missed this somewhere but what was the problem and what were the symptoms? As someone who has back problems and being told that the only kind of operation that could be done is fusion, I'm interested to know.
