I just read about Padron coming out with a new 4 inch by 54 rg 1964 Anniversary size. Don't know about you guys but I am definitely going to like that size!

Sounds like the exact size (so I hear) of Ryan Suter's dingus!

Ok seriously. This cigar is coming out and I'm looking forward to it.

I've never been disappointed by a Padron so I'd give it a try.

Scott gave me one of the SI-60s a few years ago, and despite my reservations he forced me to smoke it. I still remember it clearly, it was very interesting, definitely reminiscent of the smaller rg padrons but the smoke was a lot cooler and a little on the thin side. I probably won't get any of these, but I would be interested to hear how they turn out, maybe bringing the rg down a little from 60 to 54 will balance it out

I'm normally not a fan of larger ring gauges. I feel like the wrapper/filler ratio is so skewed to the filler that it cancels out the great flavors that the wrapper brings to the cigar. But the 54 gauge I'm fine with. I love the Nubs cigars (insert punch line from Adam here) so I think I'll really enjoy this.

Definitely post up a review if you grab any :-)

54 is not nearly as fat as one could go with a cigar. I would smoke one! Did the story say when this was going to come out?

I'd try it, but the larger RGs aren't my first choice.

I use to enjoy Padrons. Only problem I have with this size is that it is boxed pressed. I don't mind the 54rg because a lot of cigars are gearing towards bigger rg but to make it box pressed and that big of a rg is hard to smoke, for me at least.

Had a 1964 from the B&M that was about a 6.5×60 (can't remember the size's name). It was great, but I wouldn't buy another. I still prefer the smaller rg.
