ok, here's a description. I am a newbie so here goes
No label. Sold as a "cubano" or something similar. Both ends had the tobacco leaf twisted down, the front being looser then the rear. I have seen a few cigars while looking for these that had a little tight knot. These were a little more rustic looking for lack of a better word. Medium dark wrap. Roughly corona size, perhaps larger. Were $4 or so but that's Ben a while ago. Sat untouched in my humidor for a year or more. My fater-in-law loved them so I've been trying to find them or something similar. I'm aware the description sucks but I don't know the nomenclature yet. Any help finding one like this is appreciated. Closest pic I could find on the net was here.

The end you light was twisted down loosely.
Thanks!

Well, got turned on to these as a possibility - Cuba Aliados Fumas Maduro. I ordered a bundle of them (plus another big sampler) from Best Cigar Prices. We will see I guess!

Good luck! Hopefully they are what you're searching for.

They had a knot at the end. I've seen a few like that but these had a pretty long bit that had to be removed to smoke it. Rustic is the best word I have for them but not small like the backwoods or italian types. My guess is they are made to look like small batch handrolled cigars. They were excellent from beginning to end and I have been pretty frustrated trying to find them (since they had no identifying band). Went back to the store but the employees had turned over and they had no clue what I was talking about. The did resemble the Cuba Alidados I bought above, sans the ring. Hell, just motivates me to look about and try some different stuff anyway. I smoke a lot of Ghurkas and a few Rocky Patel. We started on my buddy's dads Hoyo de Monterrey Excaliburs back in the mid 80's. I still have a soft spot for those.

Make sure you get in on the NST. Great place to start.
