eBay announced this morning that it has been hacked and is urging users to change their passwords.

If you use eBay check your account. Change your password. If you keep a credit card on file with eBay monitor the activity closely.

Re: credit card, I remember them saying that CC data was stored on a different, also-encrypted server that was not hacked.

Went to change it and saw the message on eBay that they had been compromised. Nice of them to send out e-mails to their customers warning them of this. :-)

Just got my E-bay email today! Good thing other sources were more on the ball- altho the breech occurred in Feb/March- so plenty of time has already passed!
