He was still playing till the end. "Autumn Leaves" and "Born Free" were some of his most memorable hits. He made a lot of sound come out of a piano. My dad used to play his albums all the time.

Truly a loss for the musical community. My father, too, first introduced me to his music when I was a boy. Steinway even named a series of grand pianos after him. Bad ass! [Reply]
