I've been there twice. One was a big wedding, and one was a small wedding. I know you're not soliticiting advice, but I feel compelled...
- If people prepared half as much for the marriage as they did for the wedding, the divorce rate would be half what it is now.
- It's not about the party, it's about the vows.
- What will you want to remember about that day 20 years from now? Think about that before the day.
- Going into years of debt for an elaborate ceremony/party is stupid. You'll never be sitting around one day saying "Honey, I wish we had spent more money on the party we don't remember. What the hell were we thinking?"
