I've got a buddy who has one here at sea level in Hawaii and it puts out a huge torch. It's probably just the ticket for you out in CO, especially if you're the kind of guy who likes to hike up Pikes Peak.
It's definitely overkill down here though.

works pretty good in windy conditions too such as at a golf course.

Looks like it would be a good lighter to take camping so it wouldn't get beat up.
