Nevermind...didn't go far enough to report the cost basis. I thought the import would go ahead and do that.

Today is not the best day to be figuring this stuff out. Just sayin...

Two days ago was much better.:-)

I was all set to do it 2 months ago, but I couldn't import my information from Fidelity/Scottrade and have just stalled around ever since.

I was particularly upset that $369 in interest/dividends was going to reduce my return by over $1k, but I just didn't click enough buttons to enter the cost basis on a couple of sales that I had. :-)

The whole cost basis thing...yeah. Almost screwed me pretty bad too.

N only semi-related but didn't. I read somewhere that turbotax did some "questionable" things last year?

Trying to figure cost basis and wash sales were a nightmare. I broke down and subscribed to Gainskeeper to figure all that out and generate my Sch D's. I was able to import all that to Turbo Tax.
Yeah, I'm doing my 2009 personal portion of the return this week.
