Since the BOTLs have made a move here, I'm posting this up here as well!

I have a humi which I haven't opened in a long time. I opened it up last night and a strong sour smell was present. :-) I wiped down the inside and took out the beads that were sitting in there, but it still smelled. I'm afraid of putting in any sticks because I don't want them to pick up that smell / flavour. It's sitting at home on the counter airing out right now.

Any suggestions on what I can do to bring this humi back to life?

Cheers,
spin

Try a light wash with baking soda and water. Also, leaving it open and exposed to the sun may make the smell disipate. Likely, with time it will be fine :-)

Baking soda.. good idea. Didn't think about that! Thanks. I'll give it a try tonight. :-)
