Hi all. I have been here on CA as a cigar smoker for a couple of years now. Yesterday Silverfox hit me up with three corn cob pipes, pipe tool, cleaners and three different blends of tobacco as a starter kit for my ride down this new slope! Got up early because I couldn't wait to give it a try. My first bowl was fantastic. I truly enjoyed it! My dad used to smoke both cigars and pipes. This brought back some great memories of my dad and his pipe.
I'll be reading a lot in this section now trying to learn all I can. I just wanted to say hi to everyone here.
Thank you so much Shawn for the "starter kit"!!

Big props to Shawn for shoving you down the slope. Good slope to be pushed down. Tobacco isnt that pricey, but pipes can be!!!

QFT, but then again I figure buying a pipe is about like buying a box of nice cigars, so it may still result in savings for some

and you can't use the cigars over and over again, for decades, or pass on cigar ashes to your son, like you can with pipes.
:-)
$200 box of cigars, only 25 smokes
$100 new pipe and $100 worth of tobacco, hundreds of smokes, and so on and so on.

Absolutely, plus you can admire your pipes at all times, they need not be stored away for humidity concerns
